Stamp Something - Birthday Something

Good afternoon.

What a gorgeous start to the weekend. Although I have been cooped up in my craft room instead of going outside to enjoy the lovely weather.

Today I have made a card for Stamp Something where the theme is "Birthday Somethings".

I have used the flower stamp from the Stampin' Up set "Playful Petals" again (I love it!).

I don't know about you but since I have started blogging I feel that I shouldn't keep using the same products over and over and I also feel pressured (all self-imposed) to use the latest products. I am beginning to get a serious craft shopping addiction and I have to stop it before it gets too out of hand!

Here's what I used to make this card:-

Stamps: Flower from SU "Playful Petals" set; Sentiment from PB clear set
DP: My Minds Eye "Bloom and Grow"
Tools: Nestabilities "Ribbon Tag Trio"; Martha Stewart "Scallop Dot" border punch
Accessories: Papermania brad, beads from stash and SU ribbon

Thank you for visiting my blog today and thank you for all the lovely comments you have been leaving. I really enjoy reading them.

Enjoy the remainder of your weekend.

Clare x

Hi Clare

Beautiful card and I love that flower.

Your papers are gorgeous too.

I know what you mean about this craft addiction.

I try hard not to get drawn into all the new crafting stuff but it is difficult. We can always find something else we would like to have. But it can become stupidly expensive.

When I make my cards I try to use images that I have had for a long while - in the hope that it makes my blog a little different to everyone elses.

Sometimes though I think it is nice to show the same images a few times - if only to show the versatility of it.

Hope you are enjoying your weekend.

Love Jules xx

Hi Clare, super pretty card and a gorgeous stamp! I absolutely agree 100% about the pressure to own the latest crafting goodies! I have been on a stash ban for nearly 3 months as my hubby was made redundant in April so I have had no choice not to spend...the good thing is it has made me use a lot more of my craft stash! I feel like a recovering addict lol! Donna x

I love this card, that is such a great flower. I know what you mean about craft addiction but I think I was like that before I started blogging lol. What I am finding is that I am using stuff better. It is not just sitting in a drawer. I do think I should keep using new images and papers though but I have so much that I really need to use it. And now we have a new craft shop opening about 10 miles away. Now I am really worried!!!

Lovely card Clare!!! Fab colours and I love those small pearls!

I love to see you using your products over and over again, because you make something that´s different from what I make. And that gives so much valuable inspiration hun!

Hope you get a fab Sunday evening,

P.S. I´m an addict too...

Hi Clare

Such a pretty creation. Have no idea what you mean about new goodies - as if.

Mind you, despite all the new stuff, I still revert back to some all time favourites - like P107 (Stampendous) how sad is that I even remember the number.
