WOYWW

Hello,

It's my second week joining in with "What's On Your Workdesk Wednesday".

If you want to join in and visit other crafters' workdesks then pop over to Julia's blog.

I was mid-project when I remembered to take the photographs. I can't show you what I am working on as it is a DT sample, so I've turned things over where necessary!

This is what you see when I swing my chair around. My sewing machine is stashed in the blue bag and all the drawers are filled with bits and bobs.

Enjoy your Wednesday and thank you for visiting my space.

Double Up

Good evening,

This is my second post of the day, which is very unusual for me!

The theme at Pollycraft Monday Challenge this week is "Double Up". They have a fabulous prize of A FULL SET OF LILYBEAN FAIRIES and I really want to win them!!

So I've made this card to enter the challenge, using both a pre-coloured digi image and a rubber stamped image which I have coloured with Copic Ciaos.

Well I must think about making dinner now. Thank you for visiting and have a great weekend.

Lots of Spots

Good morning everyone.

I have come across a "new to me" challenge called Totally Papercrafts. Their current challenge theme is "Lots of Spots".

Again, the image and papers are from Cuddly Buddly.

How many of you got hold of the Martha Stewart punches on the last QVC UK TSV? I was bit late but managed to order one of the sets on back order. I don't want miss out on the next TSV (next Tues) as it looks like it will be something from Tim Holtz and I am keeping my fingers and toes crossed that it will be the new colour Distress Inks. I feel the need for some distressing in the next few weeks.

Enjoy your Friday and thank you for visiting.

Cute Card Thursday - Metal Mania

Good afternoon!

I am looking out of the window at more snow falling. I am glad I am inside keeping nice and warm.

The challenge at Cute Card Thursday is "Metal Mania". I have attached a metal star brad to the sentiment on my card.

The image is from Cuddly Buddly and I have coloured it with Copics.

I am feeling quite exhausted today. My little one has got to the "why?" stage and is wearing me out!

Thank you for visiting my blog today and for your much appreciated comments.

ABC Challenge - 'O'

Good evening!

Over at the ABC challenge this week the theme is "'O' is for one paper".

This pretty paper is from the Cuddly Buddly "Fairy Fun" range.

The images are from the Cuddly Buddly "Teddy Bear's Playtime Designables" set.

I am having so much fun making samples from the Cuddly Buddly digi range. I still love to colour, but it is nice to have other options. The main image has been cut and layered a couple of times but this doesn't really show in the photo.

I hope you are all having a good week.

WOYWW

Good morning.

I thought I would join in with What's on Your Workdesk Wednesday this week. I always love it when other bloggers post pictues of their work areas.

My workspace is very tidy at the moment. That's because I went to Ikea on Saturday to get a few more storage implements which encouraged me to have a bit of a tidy up.

Ikea is so good for your health. I walked round twice as I couldn't find what I was looking for. I couldn't believe it when I realised I had been walking around for three hours!

Still out on my cutting mat is a card I made yesterday. I left it out overnight for the glue to dry.

Enjoy your Wednesday!

Sophisti-cat Challenge - Stitching

Good morning,

The challenge at Sophisti-cat this week is stitching. You can have real or faux stitching on your project and my card has some faux stitching, made using a paper piercer and a white gel pen.

I usually like to add real stitching to my cards but I didn't have room to get my sewing machine out without moving a load of stuff!

I was lucky enough to be given some push moulds for my birthday. I made this little bee using one of the moulds, some modelling clay, acrylic paints and stickles glue. I am so pleased with it!!

I am also entering this into the very first challenge at One Stitch at a Time where the theme is "Stitching".

I hope you have a great day. Thank you for taking the time to visit my blog.

Sir Stampalot Blog Hop and Challenge

This post will remain at the top of my blog until 14th February, please scroll down to see new posts.

Good morning! Welcome to the One Off Challenge and Blog Hop which has been organised by the fabulous Brenda of Floral Fantasies.

The sponsors of this very special challenge and blog hop are
who are celebrating their move to a spacious new shop in Peterborough.

THE CHALLENGE

To find out how to enter the challenge please visit Brenda’s blog for all the details.

To whet your appetite here is a picture of the prize on offer for the challenge. There will also be two runners' up prizes for the challenge. Both the blog hop and challenge are open Worldwide.

The theme of the challenge is “MOVING”. Your project can be a card, box, scrapbook layout, whatever you choose and the theme is open to interpretation, moving home, kinetic card, vehicle or as simple as a dangling charm as long as it represents movement.

Entries to the challenge can be combined with other challenges, but not back linked.

THE BLOG HOP

Here’s my card. My interpretation of the theme “moving” was to create a flowerpot card, as potted plants/flowers are always a lovely gift to give to someone moving home.

This is my first attempt at making a flowerpot card. It's not perfect, but I don't mind. Crafting for me is about having fun, enjoying myself and learning as I go.

There will be prizes for every stop of the blog hop which include stamps from all the best companies such as Hero Arts, Penny Black, Stamps Happen, embellishment kits etc.

Here's what you need to do to be in with a chance of winning.

You must start the hop here at Brenda’s blog and you must then visit each of the Design Team blogs in turn and:-

a) Pick up a letter clue at each one. My clue is ‘A’

b) Leave a comment at each blog you visit on the challenge/blog hop posts, so you can be entered into the draws for those prizes

You should have arrived at my blog from:-

http://jules-alwayswithaheart.blogspot.com/

and your next stop is:-

http://tracy-countrymouse.blogspot.com/

Just a little clue to help you on your way - when you re-arrange the letters you will end up with three words, Brenda has given you one letter to start you on your way:

_ _ / _ _ _ E / _ _ _ _ _

When you have the answer mail it to brenda@ibas.co.uk and all correct answers will go into the draw for yet another prize.

All prize winners will be announced on Sunday 14th February 2010.

All that remains is to say is thank you for visiting my blog, have fun and we all look forward to visiting you over the next two weeks.

Birthday Mice Designables

Good evening!
Here's another card I've made using the Birthday Mice designables download.
Before I go any further, on my last post I had many kind comments saying how good my colouring was, I have to admit to you that these digi images are pre-coloured, so I cannot take any credit for the colouring. Oh I do wish my colouring was this good!

I think this card could be a contender for my OH's birthday card, as it has lots of hearts on it.
I am entering this into the following challenges:-
Crafting Cardmakers - Digital Delights (my third entry this week!)
Cute Card Thursday - In the name of love
Charisma Cardz - Think Male
Thank you for taking the time to visit.

Birthday Mouse

cGood afternoon to you.

I have been having fun with more of Kim MacFarlane's fabulous digital designables sets from Cuddly Buddly. Isn't the heart paper divine?

I am entering this card into the following challenges:-

Die Cut Dreams - Have a heart
Simon Says - Love
Crafty Cardmakers - Digital Delights

I have decoupaged part of this card but sadly it does not show up too well in the photograph. I have also distressed the papers using Tim Holtz "Antique Linen" distress ink.

I hope you are all having a great week. Thanks for stopping by.

Crafty Cardmakers

Good afternoon!

The theme at Crafty Cardmakers this week is "Digital Delights" and here is my entry.

I've used the Cuddly Buddly "Teddy Bear's Alphabet - Pink Designables" (available here) and Cuddly Buddly "A Patchwork of Papers - Pink" (available here).

Now all I need is for one of my friends to have a baby girl!

I hope you are all having a good week.

Best wishes, Clare xx

Birthday Girl

Good afternoon everyone,

My little chap is having a rare afternoon nap so, if he stays asleep, I shall be catching up with my blog visiting after this post.

I made this card using one of the many Cuddly Buddly Designables digital downloads. The set I used is called "Teddy Bear's Alphabet". The set comes with pre-coloured images or black and white outlines if you prefer to colour them yourself. I

I used the pre-coloured images for this card and have decoupaged the J and the 2. I am nice and ahead with this card as Jessica won't be two until March.

In real life the ribbon does match the papers!

I am entering this card into the "Just Cute Bears" challenge where the theme is hearts. I've used a heart shaped "made with love" charm. Oh, and the little buttons are heart shaped too.

I hope you are all having a brilliant weekend.

Best wishes, Clare xx

"Dainty Dancer"

Hello,

Here is another sample card for the new Cuddly Buddly "Little Miss Daisy" range.

I really enjoyed making this card. I did some faux stitching instead of getting the machine out and I think it has worked well, although I did have to re-do some of the "stitching" as I smudged it because I didn't let it dry properly. I ought to slow down when I make cards, but I find it hard as I want to see the finished card as soon a possible!

It doesn't show too well but the sentiment has a silver lining. To achieve this effect, I first inked the sentiment stamp with silver brilliance ink, I then lightly stamped the sentiment onto scrap paper to remove some of the ink before inking it up with black ink and then stamping onto the designer paper. If you click on the photo you can see this a bit more clearly. The only problem with doing this is that you get the silver ink on the black inkpad and have to wipe it off quickly!

Here is what I used to make this card:-

Stamps: Dainty Dancer and Wordy Bits (available here)
Digi Papers: Little Miss Daisy Spring 2 (available here)
Nestabilities: Long Scallop Rectangle, Large Scallop Rectangle, Large Labels
Other: Paper piercer and Inksentials white gel pen for the faux stitching
Copic Ciaos
Glamour Dust
Holographic Heat Embossing Powder for the cupcake and tiara
Embellishments from Cuddly Buddly

Thank you for visiting me today. I really appreciate you taking the time.

Hugs, Clare x

Cuddly Buddly "Thank You" card

Good morning!

I had a bit of time to spend in my craft room yesterday and made this clean and simple thank you card. Looking at the photo I think I need to add a bow to ribbon. It's funny, but looking at a photo of a card makes me see it in a completely different light than looking at it in real life.

The little blue flower is wonky because, as usual, I didn't let the glue dry before taking the photograph. It's now nice and straight again.

Here's what I used to make this card:-

Stamps: Little Miss Daisy's Frame 2, Little Miss Daisy's Wordy Bits, Little Miss Daisy's Accents, they are all by Cuddly Buddly and you can find them here.
Spellbinders label 5 set
Darice 6mm flower bead
Cuttlebug Divine Swirls embossing folder
White detail embossing powder
Ribbon and gem

Thank you for visiting and I hope you have a great day.

Best wishes, Clare xx

Cuddly Buddly sample card

Good afternoon everyone.

I thought I would share the latest sample card I have made for Cuddly Buddly using stamps and digi papers from the new "Little Miss Daisy" range.

I love sewing on my cards but I often can't be bothered with getting out and setting up the sewing machine!

The stamp is called Boy Talk and the sentiments are from Little Miss Daisy's Greetings and Little Miss Daisy's Wordy Bits. The digi papers are from the Little Miss Daisy Spring Papers 1 and 2.

Thank you for taking the time to visit my blog today.

Have a great day.
