More Poppies

Here's another quick and simple card using Hero Arts "Delicate Blossoms". It's very similar to the post below, but I prefer this paper.

Enjoy you day xx

Poppies

Good morning,
No challenge today, but I thought I would share this simple card which I made using my new "all time favourite" stamp set from Hero Arts called "Delicate Blossoms". I stamped the largest image onto SU paper (Sweet Always), heat embossed it and then cut out the blooms and stuck them onto the image which I had also stamped on the card. I then used two Cuttlebug embossing borders to finish off the card.
Many thanks for looking, have a great day.

Creative Inspirations - Paper Piecing

Good afternoon.

The challenge at Creative Inspirations is Paper Piecing. This is right up my street, I love to paper piece, as my regular readers have probably guessed already!

I have used a cute image by Kim Sponaugle called "Kickabout". The papers are Cuddly Buddly "Peppy Papers - Purple/Lime", I scaled them down for the paper pieced clothing. The remainder of the image has been coloured using Copic Ciaos.

Thank you for visiting.

Allsorts Challenge Week 58 - Embossing

Good day to you,

I have had some rare free time this morning. OH is in the garage shuffling things around and the little man is fast asleep on the sofa - almost unheard of for a Saturday morning. He went to bed at 10pm last night (after a party) but still got up before 6am this morning and now he is catching up!
Anyhow, on to today's card. The challenge at Allsorts this week is "Embossing". I've used both dry embossing and heat embossing on my card.

The main image is Penny Black "Mixed Media". I stamped this in Memento "Rich Cocoa" and then inked with Tim Holtz Distress inks "Victorian Velvet", "Spun Sugar" and "Antique Linen", next I painted the flowers with "Victorian Velvet" before coating them with Versamark (using a VM pen) and heat embossing with clear embossing powder. The punched flowers have been embossed with a Crafts Too "Daisy" embossing folder and coated in "Victorian Velvet" and again covered in Versamark and heat embossed with clear embossing powder. The base of the card is made using my much loved Crafts Too 5" x 5" dots folder, with a little "Antique Linen" sponged around the edges and the sentiment is a very sweet one from SU!

Enjoy your weekend.

Simon Says - You Gotta Have Friends

Good afternoon.

The theme at Simon Says Challenge this week is "You Gotta Have Friends".
I have used a gorgeous image from Penny Black called "Poppy Poem". I was very lucky to win the Penny Black Challenge a couple of weeks ago and the prize was a Penny Black stamp of my choice from the very generous Julia at Stampers Supermarket. It was easy for me to choose as I have seen this stamp used to make fabulous cards by my blogging buddies Brenda and Sally.
Again I have kept my card simple. The base card is made using Bazzil Dots card, the image is coloured with Prismacolor Pencils and the sentiment is from SU! stamped with Brilliance ink. I have used black Stickles for the centre of the flower.
Thank you for looking.

Crafty Catz - Let's go Digital

Good afternoon,

The challenge at Crafty Catz this week is "Let's Go Digital".
My card uses two digital images, a digital sentiment and digital papers. The main image is "Emmy Sitting", she's sitting inside "Oval Daisy Frame" (which I re-shaped to make it a circle) and the papers are "A Patchwork of Papers - Yellow". I've taken three of the papers and made them into a patchwork. The images, papers and sentiment are all from Cuddly Buddly.

Emmy has been paper pieced and coloured with Copics and I 3d'd the daisies to give some dimension.

Enjoy the weekend.

Something Summer!

Hello!

The challenge at "Stamp Something" this week is "Something Summer!"

I am entering a very simple card which I think is quite summery. I've used Magenta "Summer Meadow" for the main image. I heat embossed it with clear powder and then coloured over the top. The butterfly is from the Elusive Images "Butterfly Blush" plate, I stamped it in a pale yellow ink and then overstamped it in orange using a Crafty Individals crackle stamp, before cutting it out. The base card has been run through the Big Shot in a Crafts Too 5" x 5" embossing folder.

Time for a cuppa now! Enjoy your day.

Wheelbarrow card

Good afternoon.

The challenge at Charisma Cardz this week is "to make a project for a guy".

For the main image I have used two stamps from the Flower Soft Wheelbarrow plate and coloured them with Prismacolor pencils and Sansodor. I used a little bit of Tim Holtz Distress Ink "Antique Linen" around the image to soften the white of the card.

The papers are My Minds Eye "Asparagus" and the Father stamp is from Papertray Ink "Mega Mixed Messages" set.

Many thanks for visiting and I hope you have a great day.

Fathers' Day Card

Good morning,
Today's card is for three challenges:-

Rosie D's - Something Blue + option Fish (I think there may be fish just out of sight under the water!)
Creative Inspirations - Monochrome
Polka Doodles - Fathers' Day/Male Theme

The image is made using Stampscapes nature sheet 12. I stamped the sea and used three different blue Brilliance inks to colour it, then I stamped the boat onto acetate using black Stazon ink and stuck it to the sea.

Enjoy your day, whatever you are doing.

Fussy and Fancy Friday Challenge

Hello,

Today's card is for the Fussy and Fancy Friday challenge where the theme is "Monochromatic and Wings".

I love my Tim Holtz Distress Inks, but find I rarely use the colour "Pine Needles" so today I have given centre stage to this colour.

I always struggle to capture, glimmer, shine or sparkle when I photograph a card.

For the base of the card I used a 5" x 5" Crafts Too embossing folder (I can't wait for them to bring out more embossing folders in this size). The main image is Magenta "Lovely Meadow", I stamped this using Pine Needles distress ink and then covered it with Versamark Dazzle "Frost" and heat embossed the whole square with clear embossing powder. The X-Cut punch butterfly was stamped with a Crafty Indivuals Crackle stamp, covered with Versamark Dazzle and spritzed with water to make the ink run a little. The sentiment is from Stampin Up! and has also been stamped in Pine Needles and again covered with Versamark Dazzle.

I hope you have all had a wonderful weekend. I have spent the time enjoying the weather and have severely neglected my laptop, I really must catch up on all your lovely blogs.

Christmas card!!

Good afternoon.

The challenge at Crafty Creations this week is "It's a Stitch Up"

I love to add stitching to my cards so this challenge is right up my street.

I am also entering this into the current Winter Wonderland challenge "A Traditional Christmas Flower", where you are asked to use a traditional winter flower or plant - I've used Holly!

Ingredients:
Image: Christmas Fairy Girl (available as a rubber or digi stamp)
Papers: Fairy Fun Seasonal papers
Sentiment: Christmas Greetings rubber stamp
All available from Cuddly Buddly.

It felt a bit strange to be making a Christmas card in June!

I hope you are all having a good week. Thank you for visiting.

Penny Black Saturday Challenge

Good afternoon.

I've spent a lovely couple of hours in my craft room making a card for the Penny Black Saturday Challenge where the theme is swirls.

The stamp I have used is Penny Black 4039K 'Candid'. I love the Penny Black floral stamps and have many of them on my wish list.

I stamped the image twice so that I could cut out some extra petals and a flower to layer onto the base image. I coloured the image with a Copic Ciao and a Promarker and then heat embossed the pieces I wanted to layer with a clear embossing powder (this shows more clearly in the cropped picture). I also added some "Diamond Black" stickles to the centre of the flower.

The yellow cardstock has been embossed using a Cuttlebug "Divine Swirls" embossing folder. I also used my new Crafts Too "Dots" embossing folder on the oval mat, this embossing folder is great as it is 5 x 5 inches - I can see me using this one a lot.

Thank you for visiting and taking a look.

Best wishes, Clare x

Fairy Fun Family "Spring Girl"

Good day to you!
Firstly, I must apologise for my lack of blogging recently and more importantly for not being able to visit your blogs and comment. I have really missed my time at my laptop!
My card today is made using the pretty "Spring Girl" fairy from the Fairy Fun Family range at Cuddly Buddly. If you are a Cuddly Buddly fan it's worth a visit to their web shop as they are having their June sale and stamps and digis have 25% off.
I've coloured the image with Copics and added lots of glamour dust - I love the stuff!
I am entering this card into:-

Sir Stampalot June Challenge - Punch It - use those punches

Good morning,

It's time for the June Sir Stampalot challenge Punch It!

With all the gorgeous punches available now we are sure you will have great fun with this one and we are really looking forward to seeing how you use your punches on your projects, be it borders, flowers, or something completely new. As usual your project can be anything you have created yourself and for any occasion, the only requirement is that we see some punched elements on your work. Visit the Sir Stampalot challenge blog for more information.

I've used a selection of border punches on my DT card. I have to admit that this is not my own idea, I cased it from Julia Stainton and you can see her card here. I have used ivory and beige pearlescent card and the wording is made using Martha Stewart alphabet punches - it would probably have looked better stamped but as the idea was to use punches I thought I would stick with the punched letters.

We have a very apt prize this month, this amazing array of all things punchy - ** Two Martha Stewart Around the Page sets ** Three of the fabulous EK Success Paper Shaper sets which have not only the punch but matching stamps and ink pads all included ** A fabby Provo Craft tool set........and it's pink ** Plus a whole load of corner, stitchy and other punches. This lot adds up to £201, so a pretty amazing prize.

We do hope you can join us this month.
