Good evening to you.
I have been busy making Christmas cards today. I didn't make enough cards for Christmas 2010 and I have promised myself that I will not be in the same position for Christmas 2011. I ordered some scrummy Christmas stamps in the Sir Stampalot sale and couldn't wait to start inking them up.
I am entering this card into the Cupcake Craft Challenge where the theme is "Something New" and the something new is the tree stamp.
The main image for this card is Hero Arts Decorated Tree (K5440). I stamped onto pearlized card and coloured with Copics, I then added Glossy Accents to the baubles.
I had to trim my card base down for this card so I decided to make a Christmas tag out of the cut off piece.
This also uses a new stamp, Hero Arts Cling - Music Background (CG222) which I stamped in versamark ink and heat embossed with clear embossing powder. The cute Penny Black image is from the T-for Transparent set "Holly Day Critters".
I had better get back to making the dinner! See you soon.
Hugs, Clare x

Oh Clare
I love the Christmas tree card - the image is gorgeous.
I think I too need to be more organised this year and I now feel inspired to continue making Christmas cards.
Take care

They are gorgeous, the card is clean and elegant and the tag is totally adorable. I really should start with the Christmas cards too, but I'm working with flowers and butterflies! And waiting for a parcel from Sir Stampalot, it will soon be here. Glad you got to play with your new goodies.

Love your Christmas card Clare. I'm determined not to be at the last minute this year. I had enough cards but would have liked to have had them made sooner! And that tag is so sweet, I love these little PB critters.

It's funny you say this - I've decided not to put my christmas stamps away, but to make at least 5 cards each month - I'm not rushing at the end of this year!. I just love your cards, they'll be really appreciated by those that recieve them.

Hi Clare
How good are you?
Well done on being super organised.
They are both gorgeous and I love the glossy accents on the baubles. It sets them off beautifully.

Wow, both are lovely, but the first is my fav. Thanks for playing at Cupcake! x
Wow Clare these are both fantastic!!!
You are wise to get ahead of the game without a doubt, I wound up sending off some repeats that I made in excess the year before I was pretty embarrassed but I ran out of time!
Gorgeous cards...I especially like the first one Clare

Hi Clare, what a pretty card and tag. The tree is coloured perfectly and I love the CAS layout. Cute image on the tag and I really like the music background. Thanks for joining in with my "something new" challenge over at cupcake craft challenge this week. Hugs, Denise x
You are putting me to shame Claire! I was in a right old pickle at Christmas having made no Christmas cards (other than DT ones) until almost a week before The Day! Talk about panic!!!
Love your new images and the tree looks great with the shiny baubles. Lovely idea for the tag too. Those background stamps are great.
