Fussy and Fancy Friday Challenge

Hello,

Today's card is for the Fussy and Fancy Friday challenge where the theme is "Monochromatic and Wings".

I love my Tim Holtz Distress Inks, but find I rarely use the colour "Pine Needles" so today I have given centre stage to this colour.

I always struggle to capture, glimmer, shine or sparkle when I photograph a card.

For the base of the card I used a 5" x 5" Crafts Too embossing folder (I can't wait for them to bring out more embossing folders in this size). The main image is Magenta "Lovely Meadow", I stamped this using Pine Needles distress ink and then covered it with Versamark Dazzle "Frost" and heat embossed the whole square with clear embossing powder. The X-Cut punch butterfly was stamped with a Crafty Indivuals Crackle stamp, covered with Versamark Dazzle and spritzed with water to make the ink run a little. The sentiment is from Stampin Up! and has also been stamped in Pine Needles and again covered with Versamark Dazzle.

I hope you have all had a wonderful weekend. I have spent the time enjoying the weather and have severely neglected my laptop, I really must catch up on all your lovely blogs.

Hugs, Clare xx

I love it! Stunning card, Clare. I've only used my pine needles on Christmas cards so far, but I think I better get it out and have a play!

Hi Clare

I am only just getting into the whole distress inks arena .. .. and this isn't one of the ones I own. It is a gorgeous shade though.

Loving your card and the embossing very much. Great look.
