Allsorts Challenge "Blooming Blossoms"

Good afternoon!

The theme at the Allsorts challenge this week is "Blooming Blossoms".

I'm not entirely sure what I think about this one, it's a bit pink!

I am so guilty of having craft stuff that I just had to get and then forgot about immediately as I moved onto something new, so I'm going back and making the cards I promised I would at the time I wanted each particular stamp or craft item.

For this card, I masked around a rectangular area on my base card. First I stamped Hero Arts "La Lettre" K5344 in Memento London Fog, then I sponged over three colours of Memento ink - Lulu Lavender, Sweet Plum and Grape Jelly.  Next I removed the mask and stamped one of the images from the Hero Arts "Wildflower Garden" cling set CG170 using Starlight Black Brilliance Ink. Finally I added a sentiment from Stampin' Up, although I am beginning to think I should have left this off. Oops, forgot to mention that I also added seed beeds to the centre of the flower.

I hope you are enjoying your weekend. The weather has turned lovely here and my little one is playing in the garden.

Best wishes to you, Clare xx

Hello Clare

Don't fret about forgetting crafty stash, we are all guilty of that one. My hubby suggested it was because I have too much -m as if ?

I love the tone on tone here and the pink is gorgeous.

Hi Claire

Firstly, I must apologise for not visiting for so long.
This is a beautifully sophisticated card. I too am guilty of getting stuff and not using it. I think half the thrill is the ordering and waiting for it. I have been trying to use some of my older stamps particularly.

Have a great weekend.

Gorgeous card Clare, the flower is very striking.
And yes we're all guilty of having unused stash (and still needing even more)

We are definitely all guilty of buying things and not using them for ages, there just isn't enough hours in the day!!
This is gorgeous though. I love the colours and your flower with it's seed bead middle is gorgeous.
The weather turned beautiful here too. Hope it lasts!!
Enjoy Mother's Day.
Hugs Lisax

Clare, this is absolutely beautiful! I know exactly what you mean about buying stash because there was something you wanted to make with it, and then not using it! Been there, done that, too often! But it was certainly worth it in this case, even if it was a while before you made the card! I love the graduated background. Just gorgeous.
