Warm Summer Days

Good afternoon,

The theme at By the Cute and Girly this month is "Warm Summer Days".

Butterflies and flowers always represent summer for me and I've used both in my card.
The flower and butterlfy stamps are from Crafty Individuals (sets CI - 207 and CI - 226) and the sentiment is also from Crafty Individuals.
I stamped the images using Tim Holtz distress ink "Walnut Stain". I stamped over a large area on a piece of cream cardstock and then chose the section I thought look best to cut with an oval nestability. I sponged on Tim Holtz distres inks "Dried Marigold" and "Spiced Marmalade". I painted in some of the flowers with "Spiced Marmalade" and then added some "Heirloom Gold" perfect pearls (although this doesn't show on the picture).
The punched butterfly uses an X-cut punch, and the top butterfly has been run through a script Cuttlebug folder. The sentiment has been punched out using Stampin Up! oval punches.
Thank you for taking a look at my card.

One Stop Craft - Monochromatic

Good morning,

It's another lovely sunny day here in Warwickshire, so I have hidden away in my craft room which is just about the coolest room in the house in the morning (and the hottest in the afternoon!).

My apologies for the awful picture. I am struggling to find the right amount of light, it's either too bright or too dark! (Aren't I fussy).

My card uses Papermania DP, a Martha Stewart deep edger punch, Tim Holtz Tattered Florals die, Leonne Em stamen punch, ribbon and pearl from my stash and sentiment from Waltzing Mouse stamp.

I am entering this card into the One Stop Craft Challenge where the theme is Monochromatic (I hope I will be forgiven for the little bit of green).

Thank you for taking a look and have a lovely day.

Autumn Fairy

Good evening,

Here's my second card of the day.

The image is "Autumn Girl Fairy" and is available either as a digi image or a rubber stamp from Cuddly Buddly. The papers are "Fairy Fun Seasonal" digi papers, also from Cuddly Buddly.

I have heat embossed the leaves and the fairy wings, but this doesn't show up too well on the photo.

The image is coloured with Copic Ciaos and I've distressed around the edges with Tim Holtz Distress Ink "Antique Linen".

I am entering this card into two challenges:-

One Stop Craft - Distressing
Crafty Catz - Distressing

Sea Breeze

Good afternoon,

I'm enjoying keeping my cards nice and simple at the moment.
This card uses stamps from the Hobby Arts "Harbour" clear stamp set. I've stamped them onto water colour paper and used Derwent Aquatone pencils to colour. The sentiment is from Papertrey Ink "Mega Mixed Messages".

Many thanks for looking. Enjoy the weekend ahead.

Sir Stampalot July Challenge - Lazy Hazy Days of Summer

A very good morning to you!

It is time for another Sir Stampalot challenge. We were overwhelmed by the number of entries last month and hope you enjoy this month's theme just as much, which is

"LAZY, HAZY DAYS OF SUMMER"

To make my card I brayered Big and Juicy “Soothing Sunset” onto a piece of glossy white cardstock and stamped around it with Hero Arts “Leaf Flourish F5042”. I matted this onto a black card base and then I brayered a smaller piece of glossy white cardstock and stamped this with an Inkadinkado wood backed stamp (unfortunately I don’t know the name or number of this stamp). I cut this out with a large label nestability and layered it onto a large scalloped rectangle nestability cut from black card. I stamped the butterflies onto glossy card and sponged ink onto them. The large butterfly is from the Elusive Images “Butterfly Poppy” plate and the small butterfly is from the Crafty Individuals sheet “CI-226”, finally I cut out the butterflies and stuck them onto the card.
Our challenge sponsors, Sir Stampalot, have come up with another fabulous prize and, of course we will choose a top three along with the winner, but please do check out the rules to make sure your entry is eligible for the prize.
